WHEELER TO PURCHASE CAPITAL CITY MOTORSPORTS PARK WITH BIG PLANS

Brad Wheeler, second generation bracket racer, will be purchasing Capital City Motorsports Park in July. Major updates to the racing facility are already in the works. First on the docket, replacing the entire timing system. “New Accutime timing system has been purchased and will replace the existing system,” says Wheeler. Electrical systems for the track and tower will be on separate circuits to deviate problems with the system running on one. New photocells and surge protectors are also going to be included with the updates.

Capital City Motorsports Park will continue its current 2023 schedule under the new ownership of Wheeler. One of those races being the GABR USA $500k presented by SDPC Raceshop and Moser Engineering Triple $40k’s October 17-22, 2023. Britt, Gaylon and Tommy are happy to be bringing their largest paying race in 2023 to this facility. Pre-Entry for the event goes live on July 1, 2023!

Great American Bracket Races will be hosting their Great American USA $500,000 to win race in Montgomery, Alabama on October 17-22, 2023, presented by SDPC Raceshop and Moser Engineering. On Tuesday, this event will kick off with a Dragster shootout – the winner receiving their choice of an American Racecars or Folk Racecars Stage 1 Dragster! The runner up will receive the other. Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday will be the Moser Engineering Triple $40,000 to win races. Main event will be held on Friday – $500,000 to win with 385 entries!

Pre-Entry for this race begins on July 1, 0223 at 6pm Central at www.greatamericanbracketraces.com and will be capped at 385 entries.

All racers entered in the 500k qualify for a chance to win a SDPC Raceshop 582 Headhunter Motor! When registering for the race, $200 is due at Registration and the remaining $1,800 is due at the gate. Moser Engineering Triple $40k’s are pay at the gate. When a racer registers for the weekend, they are entered in the Triple $40k’s and the $500k. They can purchase second entries in one or more 40k if they wish.

Just like providing a great experience for the racers, Wheeler is also wanting to have great relationships with the promotors that will be renting out the track to put on their own events. It is critical to have a great facility for promotors to use as a hosting site for their races, especially when they are handing out thousands of dollars to one winner out of hundreds!
